Kuki Women's Human Rights Organization was founded on 1st January 2000 at Burma-India border by a group of Kuki women who fled Burma after the 1988 uprising. In 1014, KWHRO became a member of Women's League of Burma. KWHRO works to promote gender equality and for the higher living standard of not only Kuki women, but also women all over Burma.
